Solutions Engineer

As a Decommissioning Solutions Engineer at Control Cutter, you will work across engineering, project execution, and service delivery — supporting projects related to offshore decommissioning and industrial operations. You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from early concept and technical development through to equipment preparation, testing, and field deployment. This role suits someone who enjoys combining technical depth with practical execution and genuine project ownership.
- Develop, adapt, and improve technical solutions for offshore decommissioning
- Prepare specifications and technical documentation
- Ensure designs meet functional, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Support design-for-manufacturing and cost-effective solutions
- Troubleshoot technical issues during development and production
- Plan and execute customer and internal projects
- Coordinate scope, timelines, resources, and costs
- Act as technical interface with customers, suppliers, and partners
- Identify and mitigate technical and execution risks
- Ensure quality, delivery, and performance targets are met
- Work closely with operations on equipment preparation and testing
- Support mobilisation, field deployment, and operational readiness
- Assist with supplier and subcontractor follow-up and technical clarification
- Ensure smooth handover from engineering to field operations
- Engineering background — mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or similar
- Experience in equipment delivery, operations, or offshore service execution
- Project execution experience in industrial or offshore environments
- Familiarity with offshore, oil & gas, or decommissioning is an advantage
- Comfortable working hands-on as well as analytically
- Practical, solution-oriented mindset
- Structured, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Good communicator across disciplines and interfaces
- Takes ownership and responsibility
